SSA Electronic Filing

 

You may file your W-2s electronically with the Social Security Administration. 

 

Complete the W2/W3 eFile Info tab (on the System Profile screen). If the submitter information is the same as on the Organization Info tab, click on the Copy Organization Info button. Otherwise, enter the information requested. The Preparer Code box has a drop-down menu to select who prepared the W-2s and W-3. The default code is Self- Prepared. This will apply unless you are a payroll service.

 

Enter the eight-digit User ID (PIN)assigned by the Social Security Administration. Check any applicable boxes. See the Business Services Online Handbook for Social Security Administration (SSA) instructions.   On the SSA site is free software called AccuWage. You may download this software to test and view the file created by Church Windows Payroll.   The final screen has the name and location of the file that has been created by the Payroll program.

This file can also be used to submit your State W-2s.

 

Note:
We are no longer supporting Nelco Wage Filer for W-2 filing (a for-fee service). However, you can still submit your 941s and 944s with their service, for a fee.
